Breaking the
Silence

Children's
Stories
This powerful documentary chronicles the impact of domestic violence on
children. From adult children of abuse to families re-victimized by the court
systems to children experiencing the trauma today, the special offers moving and
unforgettable profiles of those struggling to put their lives back together. The
program also documents the disturbing frequency with which abusers are winning
custody of their children in family court cases, and explores why this
miscarriage of justice continues to occur. The documentary features interviews
with New York Yankees manager Joe Torre, who dealt with domestic violence as a
child and in 2003 started the Safe-at-Home Foundation to help educate people
about the issue; and Walter Anderson, chairman and CEO of Parade magazine, who
recounts the emotional and physical abuse he suffered at the hands of his
alcoholic father.

Stop
Family Violence has a great thing going! They are in touch with Producer
Dominique Lasseur, and has gotten many resonses to send on to both Lasseur and
PBS. Please, it is very important that they both see how much this
Documentary means to us! Show your support and help get the word out that
we are here to support them! http://www.uaadv.org/stopfamilyviolence.org.html
URGENT!!!!!!!!!!
PBS has received
more than 1,000 emails and hundreds of phone calls from father's rights
groups. I believe the best way to counter whatever effect this will have
(like convincing local stations to do local programming offering the
"other" point of view) is to have as many people as possible email,
write, phone the stations that have aired the program to thank them. It
would be a very powerful way to answer the very nasty critics who are literally
assaulting PBS and its' stations.
Best,
(Mr.) Dominique Lasseur

Please, email and call
your local PBS stations and thank them for airing the Documentary, and support
them in airing future viewing such as this in the future. They need our
support! Everyone, please do this! We need to counter what is being
done, and show that there are many in support of this! Get your friends,
family, those that have been affected by these travesties to send emails,
letters, phone calls. Let's show PBS just how much this Documentary and
others like it truly meant to us!
